AFTER recently selling its 837 Whitehorse Rd Box Hill property for more than $13 million to developer Makland Group, Donnellans Tyres has purchased a two-level office and warehouse site in neighbouring Blackburn for $2.411 million.
CVA Property Stan Dawidowski and Ian Angelico sold the freehold property at 1 Alfred St following a campaign that attracted 60 enquiries and bids from seven parties at auction.
The building is within the “Mega Mile” precinct and is notable for its blue façade and unique design and its large underground basement of 432sqm, which includes parking for approximately 9-10 vehicles and provides additional storage convenience.
The neatly fitted-out 207sqm includes meeting rooms, open plan office space, reception area and staff amenities, whilst the clearspan factory and warehouse facility of 609sqm comprises container-height double-door entry, together with two-to-three car spaces located at the front of the building.
The vendors were a local family that originally occupied the premises and operated as System Control Engineering, and have just listed for sale through CVA the nearby property located at 5 Alfred St Blackburn. The site comprises a two-level office and warehouse building of 757sqm on a 654sqm site and is also zoned Industrial 1.
