A NEIGHBOURING farming family has reportedly paid $4.3 million for the 780ha Mt Slow Station in New South Wales’ New England region.
The Clark family acquired the 1057 Mount Slow Road property in Glencoe from the retiring vendors Kevin and Ann Cuneen, who had conservatively carried 300 to 350 breeding cow equivalents on the site, as well as some yearlings.
The vendors also offloaded the Beardy View fattening property, also in the New England region, to another local family for $1.675 million.
The Matthewson family are the new owners of the 201ha property, at the head of the Furracabad Valley, which has frontage to Beardy Waters and features basalt soils, altitude and high rainfall.
Jim Ritchie of Landmark Harcourts sold the properties.
