RETAIL spaces within one of Sydney’s busiest thoroughfares are now available for lease.
The nine ground floor tenancies are located in the Duo development, part of Frasers Property Australia and Sekisui House’s $2 billion Central Park urban renewal precinct in the inner-southern suburb of Chippendale.
Three will front the Broadway strip, which according to Location IQ has the third-highest volume of pedestrian foot traffic in Sydney, behind Pitt Street Mall and Martin Place.
The tenancies begin from 40sqm with the larger spaces offering Broadway frontage and suited to fashion and general retail brands.
Brewery Lane spaces around the corner are slated for restaurant operators, and shops fronting Central Park Avenue for casual food or general retail tenants.
Traders are expected to be open by late 2018.
On completion Central Park will comprise 2,200 apartments, 869 student dwellings, three hotels and around 25,000sqm of hospitality space at Central Park. About 5,300 people are expected to live in the area, and 1,750 people will work from it.
The site is located a five-minute walk away from Central Station, across the road from UTS, and Sydney University is less than one kilometre away, up Broadway.
