FOR the first time in 150 years, a prime Queensland cattle country landholding of 4,187ha is coming on the market.
Lot 1 and 4 of the Deepbank Station, located in Mundubbera, in Queensland’s Wide Bay-Burnett region, comprises two freehold titles featuring premium grazing land with a mix of cleared and improved soil types.
CBRE agents Thomas Warriner, Geoff Warriner and Chris Holgar have been appointed to sell the property by vendors the McCord family, which has had a connection with the region over six generations.
The site will go to auction at the Mundubbera Bowls Club on July 20.
“With a connection with the land spanning more than 150 years, the McCord family’s decision to sell marks an exciting opportunity for rural ownership in this renowned cattle region.
“Major selling factors of the property include the highly secure stock and water resources, which include six bores – two of which are equipped with solar – six dams, three creek systems with associated watering holes, and the intricate and extensive reticulation system, which covers most of the property,” Warriner said.
Holgar said the areas timbered with Narrow Leaf Ironbark and Spotted Gum were also ideal for harvest as an additional source of income.
