AUSTRALIAN fashion label Gorman has signed a long-term lease for store at Swanston St in Melbourne's CBD.
Gorman signed a nine-year deal for a 100 sqm shop, at 135 Swanston St. Rents along the strip for 100 sqm spaces typically range from $3,500 to $5,000 per sqm.
Fitzroys’ Charles Emmett and Michael Rainey negotiated the deal on the corner of Swanston and Little Collins streets.
Leasing executive Michael Rainey said the lease is a watershed deal for Swanston St, in terms of attracting quality fashion along the landmark strip.
“The deal follows Platypus opening nearby a month ago and there are now a number of quality fashion tenants circling 123 Swanston St, which Fitzroys is currently leasing,” he said.
