A BUYER has bought a sub penthouse in the Hilton Surfers Paradise Hotel & Residences on the Gold Coast for $4.7 million or $19,915/sqm — one of the highest price per sqm rates achieved in Queensland.
The sub-penthouse on Level 54 of the second tower, the 57-level Orchid Tower, is due for completion later this year.
To date, the highest price per sqm at Hilton Surfers Paradise was $17,408/sqm.
Brookfield Multiplex sales and marketing director Tim Willing said the sale was a vote of confidence in Hilton Surfers Paradise.
“To secure a sale at this value and price per square metre rate in any market is an achievement. The buyer was holidaying on the Gold Coast and was initially attracted to the development because of the involvement of Hilton Hotels.
“He did his research and with our first tower, Boulevard Tower, now complete was able to experience the location and quality of the project first hand. He decided he wanted to invest in one of our most premium residences and plans to use the apartment as a private holiday home for his family,” he added.
Measuring 236 sqm, the sub-penthouse will feature four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a powder room and north east aspect taking in views east to the ocean, north to the Broadwater and west to the Gold Coast Hinterland.
Willing said there were just 27 apartments now available for sale in the Orchid Tower at Hilton Surfers Paradise, with prices starting from $1.195 million.
