THE 20,400sqm Hydro R Us horticulture site at 47-51 Helps Rd, 30 minutes north of Adelaide’s CBD, has been listed for sale.
CBRE Agribusiness’ Phil Schell and James Beer have been appointed to market the property on behalf of the Vorrasi and Paikos families, who have owned and operated the hydroponic lettuce growing business for more than 40 years.
Hydro R Us is being offered for sale as a going concern, inclusive of fixes assets, land, plant and equipment, packing and processing operations.
It will be offered via an expression of interest campaign closing at 4pm on July 2016.
The site comprises an enclosure under 18,000sqm of hail netting for the production of gourmet lettuce, Asian vegetables and select herbs in hydronic pots, which are marketed to wholesalers and retailers through supermarkets and greengrocer chains in the Adelaide CBD and metropolitan area.
Improvements on the site include a modern family home, separate office, staff facilities, cool room storage, ample shedding and hardstand car parking.
