INVESTA Office Management has promoted Jason Leong and Sally Franklin to new roles within the group.
Leong has been appointed group executive and fund manager of the flagship wholesale fund, Investa Commercial Property Fund. He is currently acting fund manager of the ASX-listed Investa Office Fund and will remain in this role until the recently appointed Penny Ransom commences at Investa.
Leong said he was thrilled to be appointed fund manager of ICPF.
“The quality of the portfolio and the team is second to none, and I am excited about the opportunity to drive fund strategy and deliver valueadd and strong investment performance,” he added.
Leong was chief operating officer at Investa and led the office business through its customer centric restructure in 2013. He was a key member of the executive team facilitating the sale of the Investa business by Morgan Stanley in 2015.
Investa’s chief investment officer Peter Menegazzo said Leong has been with Investa for over eight years and is a very highly regarded and experienced executive.
“His appointment is very well supported by the investors and board of ICPF and is another great example of Investa’s effective succession planning and track record of promoting from within our ranks,” he said.
Investa has also promoted Sally Franklin, currently national head of asset services to group executive, real estate services and business operations, assuming Leong’s previous responsibilities as COO.
She has been with Investa since 2006 and has extensive operational and transactional experience in the commercial real estate sector.
“Sally and Jason bring a vast amount of local and global experience across the full spectrum of real estate management and operations. Their intricate knowledge of the office markets and the Investa operating platform, will provide a seamless transition for the funds, its investors and the broader business,” Investa CEO Jonathan Callaghan said.
