THE Western Australian Government’s land and development agency LandCorp has offloaded a beachfront landholding in North Fremantle for $15.4 million.
Located in Leighton Beach, the 4,015 sqm site was sold to a private developer by CBRE’s Ben Younger and Michael Milne.
Younger said the property would play a pivotal role in the culmination of development within North Fremantle’s Leighton Beach precinct.
“Located within one of Perth’s most exclusive beachfront enclaves, this premier landholding was the very last remaining site held by LandCorp, as part of the state government’s re-zoning and normalisation of Leighton Beach for urban renewal,” he added.
Milne said the landholding attracted interest from local developers in addition to buyers from abroad.
“This property is set to accommodate a five to six level exclusive apartment complex similar to existing apartment projects completed by Mirvac and Brookfield Multiplex adjacent to the site.” Mile said.
