CONVENIENCE stores chain 7-Eleven, Starbucks and the Withers Group are moving their headquarters from Mt Waverley to Richmond on the city fringe, taking up the entirety of PodCo and Terraplex’s Building 2 at 658 Church Street, which has been vacated by Just Group.
The entirety of the 7,400 sqm of office space in the six-level building, near the Cremorne boundary, will be refurbished ahead of the new tenants moving in.
“It was our expectation that Just Group’s departure would pave the way for the building to be multi-tenanted over a number of floors, but we are thrilled 7-Eleven, Starbucks and the Withers Group are moving into the whole building giving us the opportunity to undertake a full refurbishment of the asset over six levels and reposition the building for the next 20 years,” PodCo/Terraplex’s Anthony Wilson said.
Just Group, part of Solomon Lew’s ASX-listed Premier Investments, will be moving to St Kilda Road after 21 years in Richmond.
It had reportedly put out a requirement for some 7,000 sqm about two years ago, before Lew paid $55 million for the vacant office building at 457 St Kilda Road late in 2016. The eight-storey building has 9,349 sqm of office space and was previously tenanted by Computershare subsidiary Serviceworks Management.
Colliers International negotiated the 658 Church Street lease.
