LOGOS has signed to BlueScope’s subsidiary, Orrcon Steel, to a new purpose-built warehouse and office facility at its Marsden Park Logistics Estate in western Sydney.
Orrcon Steel has committed to a long-term lease for the circa 16,000 sqm facility plus circa 2,200 sqm of expansion space. It will relocate and consolidate its Sydney operations at the estate.
Logos head of Australia and New Zealand Darren Searle said western Sydney is a strategic market for the group.
“We are pleased to be welcoming Orrcon Steel and supporting their growth strategy with a new facility at Marsden Park.
“Through our Marsden Park Logistics Estate we will deliver a total of 100,000 sqm of prime logistics lettable space to this market to meet the growing demand from existing and new tenants for quality logistics space,” he added.
The estate also includes a purpose built 6,224 sqm facility for the global produce distributors, Valleyfresh and a 12,515 sqm facility for eStore, Australia’s largest third-party logistics provider.
BlueScope senior procurement specialist – property Breelee Ferns said the new facility is an important investment for the business and marks an exciting new era for Orrcon Steel, enabling improved operational efficiency and optimised delivery times to customers.
CBRE’s regional director Cameron Grier, who negotiated the lease agreement with CBRE industrial occupier representatives, Trevor O’Grady and Matt Dunning, said Marsden Park is undergoing a transformation, which coupled with the lack of available zoned land in the outer west, is attracting high profile warehouse and distribution tenants, such as Orrcon Steel.
