THE residential property auctions market rebounded in Sydney and Melbourne last Saturday, according to Australian Property Monitors' Home Price Guide.
The Sydney market finally pulled out of its rut and recorded 370 listings and 218 sales resulting in a clearance rate of 64.7%. The total value of properties sold was $163.9 million. The most expensive property sold was a four bedroom house in Warrawee for $2.497 million.
Meanwhile after a one week reprieve Melbourne came back with 677 listings and 488 sales resulting in a clearance rate of 78.8%. The total value of properties sold was $235.3 million.
A four bedroom house in Malvern was the most expensive sale for $1.82 million.
Adelaide had 43 listings and 23 sales, resulting in a clearance rate of 63.9%. The total value of properties sold was $12.8 million.
Brisbane recorded 44 auctions and 18 sales, resulting in a clearance rate of 51.4%. The total value of properties sold was $12.3 million.
