NOT-for-profit commercial law firm, Salvos Legal, has nearly double its office footprint in the Sydney CBD.
Salvos Legal has expanded its occupancy from 565 sqm to 1,043 sqm across the second floor of 151 Castlereagh St, following significant growth in its unique social enterprise law firm model over the past 6.5 years.
Cushman & Wakefield’s executive director asset management, Dino Mancini assisted Salvos Legal.
“With the support of Cushman & Wakefield, we are delighted to have secured additional floor space at 151 Castlereagh St, conveniently located for our commercial clients and in close proximity to the Sydney CBD Courts,” Salvos Legal partner, property law, Mark Khoo said.
“Since starting out as a game-changing not-for-profit commercial law firm, our client base and team have grown considerably and we reached capacity within our current space. Our commercial clients now include multinationals, New South Wales and Commonwealth Government agencies, banks and social impact financiers, and leading not-for-profit organisations,” Khoo said. “Our clients have recognised the value we offer both in terms of our legal expertise in Corporate & Commercial and Property law as well as the opportunity to make a real social impact through their legal spend. Profits from our commercial law firm fund our free Humanitarian legal services in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. To date, we have acted or assisted in almost 19,000 cases for free.”
“We have leveraged our expertise in property management to structure lease terms that work for all parties, ultimately in support of Salvos Legal’s desire to have flexibility as they grow into their space,” Mancini said.
