Sinclair Range has hired Gord Boersma as managing director in the firm’s Calgary office, Green Street News can reveal.
Boersma started on March 3 and reports to president Scott Sinclair.
The 20-plus-year industry veteran works with Sinclair Range’s corporate clients to provide support in refinancings, divestitures, acquisitions and restructurings.
Boersma will also take on leadership roles, such as turnaround advisor, interim executive and chief restructuring officer.
Boersma was previously director of transaction services at BDO Canada. Before that, he was vice president of operations at Stride Capital Corp., senior director of strategy and transactions at EY-Parthenon, and president and chief financial officer of Bowline Logistics.
Sinclair Range has offices in Calgary, Toronto and New York City. It acquires control or significant influence of troubled businesses and assets across the U.S. and Canada, and it right-sizes them. The firm also assists existing management teams and provides financing solutions.
