SUNLAND has launched a new project in the Toowoomba region aimed at the second home owners.
Highfield Ridge is a $14.5 million residential community and will comprise 106 acreage home sites, just 10 kilometres north-west of Toowoomba’s city centre in one of south-east Queensland’s fastest growing suburbs.
Stage one of the master-planned community has been well received, with 10 of the 21 prestige home sites already sold and construction beginning on the first houses.
Lots in stage one range from 4000 sqm to 4611 sqm and are priced from $130,500.
Construction will begin on stage two of the project next month. The Highfield Ridge community will be built over five stages.
Sunland’s development manager Alan Sheldon said the master-planned community allowed residents to enjoy the best of rural and town living.
Sheldon said stage one was selling quickly and had captured a large portion of the local Highfield market.
A selection of house and land packages are available from a range of builders and are priced from $288,805 to approximately $500,000.
“We anticipate stage one will be sold out soon and we have already received numerous enquiries about stage two of the project. We expect all five stages of Highfield Ridge to be well received because it truly is a landmark project for the area,” he added.
Sheldon said buyers were largely second home owner occupiers upgrading from smaller lots in the local Highfield region, but the estate had also captured interest from as far south as southern New South Wales.
The estate also has an on-site bore used, which will be used during construction and had also been utilised for the on-site irrigation system. The bore has been handed over to Council for the benefit of the community.
“We have been very mindful of the water situation in this region,” he concluded.
