GOLFING legend and businessman Greg Norman has partnered with Sekisui House to put his name to residential property developer’s new $300 million housing estate within the Gledswood Hills community in Sydney’s south west.
Set to launch as the first Norman Estates residences in Australia, the masterplanned development will include 190 freestanding and attached terrace homes surrounded by green parklands and with views over the adjoining Greg Norman signature nine-hole short course, which includes a residents-only clubhouse lounge, gymnasium, tennis court, and resort-style pool.
The community is set on a 17-hectare site, overlooking the golf course and nature reserves. The homes are all designed on oversized lots, with most including four to five bedrooms, home automation and integrated lifestyle technology, multiple living rooms and alfresco entertaining areas.
Norman Estate will be part of the Hermitage section of the 250 hectare Gledswood Hills subdivision, parts of which are on the former El Caballo Blanco Andalusian theme park.
“I am excited to be developing the first Norman Estates residences in Australia with Sekisui House and creating a residential offering that is completely unique in the market,” said Norman.
“The community will cater for active and discerning buyers who are looking for the very best in location, lifestyle, and design in one of the most exciting growth areas in the nation. Sekisui House’s commitment to innovation and forward thinking, combined with its passion for design quality, is completely aligned with the key philosophies of my Norman Estates brand.
“Bringing Norman Estates to Australia is close to my heart, and I am very proud of the exceptional community we are creating.”
Sekisui House will bring its shawood home design, construction, and proprietary technology to the estate. Construction at Norman Estates is underway, with the first tranche of homes and the clubhouse progressing “at pace”. A select number of residents have the chance to take the keys to their new homes as early as this coming December, with the balance of the properties completing through 2022.
Hide Seguchi, CEO and managing director, Sekisui House Australia, said the project marks a first of its kind collaboration for Australian buyers and was over six years in the making.
Craig D’Costa, General Manager, Sekisui House Australia, said the initial decision to develop Norman Estates in south west Sydney was very strategic.
“We anticipated the long-term demand for premium lifestyle properties that offer a true feeling of sanctuary, surrounded by greenery, yet close to an activated destination for recreation, dining and entertainment. The arrival of the future Western Sydney aerotropolis firmly cements the Gledswood Hills region in Sydney’s growth corridor, with connectivity to a diverse and maturing offering of quality education, healthcare, transport, and employment opportunities; all at the doorstep of the private grounds of the Norman Estates community.”
