LOGOS has inked two deals with Fisher & Paykel and Toll Transport at its $165 million Hazelmere Logistics Estate in Perth.
Toll has committed to a five-year term for a new purpose built 22,000sqm warehouse and office facility, which includes a 1,300sqm mezzanine and an automated conveyor system. Fisher & Paykel also signed a five-year lease for a circa 10,500sqm warehouse and office facility.
Located on Talbot Rd Hazelmere, the 21 hectares estate will offer up to 110,000 sqm of gross lettable area on completion.
Toll and Fisher & Paykel join McPhee Transport on the Estate, with the site almost 50% committed. Logos is currently in discussions with a number of tenants for the remaining 10.9ha of space.
Logos’ head of Australia and New Zealand Darren Searle said the new Toll facility marks the fifth property Logos has developed for the global logistics provider and its first in Western Australia.
“We are pleased to have extended our relationship with Toll into Western Australia and to have established a new partnership with Fisher & Paykel at Hazelmere. We look forward to working with them and continuing our strong relationship with the Western Australia Government, Main Roads WA and the City of Swan, as we deliver 110,000sqm of prime logistic space at this Estate and capitalise on the site’s strategic and locational advantages for freight forwarding and distribution operations.
“The $165 million industrial estate will strengthen the regions well-established freight and logistics focus and will bring many jobs to the area both through the construction of the Estate and the facilities operations,” he said.
Fisher & Paykel COO Ben Normoyle said the new facility is an important investment that will support growth in Western Australia.
“The transformation of our national network is creating immense operational savings and efficiencies that allows us to continue to increase investment in new product development and in-store experience.” Normoyle said.
The Fisher & Paykel lease was negotiated by TM Insight who have also developed and implemented a national distribution centre network strategy for the retailer.
