A SYDNEY businessman has snared four Vaucluse properties in one line for more than $70 million and has plans to knock them down to make way for a supersize waterfront mansion.
The combined land involved in the deal is 4,270 sqm and comprises 13, 13a, 15 and 15a Coolong Rd, with the owners of the properties banding together to sell the combined offering to a Sydney businessman.
Two of the properties sit on the waterfront, with the other two street-fronted. All four are set to be knocked down to make way for the new mansion.
The two more expensive properties, on the waterfront, were owned by Colleen Shein, wife of technology entrepreneur and former Fairfax board member David Shein.
The street-fronted homes were owned by Julia Singer, wife of lawyer, Simon Sinder, purchased for $5.51 million in 2013, and by businessman Avron Cohen and his wife Jean, purchased for $1.3 million in 1995.
Two doors from the combined site is the Sydney home of Chinese internet entrepreneur billionaire Richard Liu, bought late last year for $36 million.
