Mike McFarlane has joined Avison Young as principal and director of its valuation and advisory services team in Toronto.
Most recently, he was a senior vice president of valuation and advisory at Newmark, where he was the provincial practice lead for Ontario and the Maritimes. He has worked on a range of property types, including multifamily and senior-housing properties.
At Avison Young, he’s responsible for leveraging industry relationships, building the firm’s valuation team, mentoring appraisers, and growing the valuation and advisory practice.
