Fleming Communications Inc. has acquired a flex office-industrial property in Ottawa for $7.4m, Green Street News can reveal.
The security and telecommunications technology company purchased the 30,000 sq ft building at 373 Coventry Road from data science company Lixar Group.
The property was marketed by Marcus & Millichap’s IPA division and the deal closed on Dec. 16.
The building was formerly used as a furniture showroom, and Lixar renovated it several years ago into an open-concept office space.
At the time of FCi’s acquisition, the property was occupied by both Lixar and global accounting firm BDO, which acquired Lixar in 2020.
The property is in Ottawa’s Overbrook neighbourhood and is 250 m north of Highway 417 and 250 m east of Ottawa Stadium. It’s across the street from a large retail property containing Best Buy, Canadian Tire and Starbucks.
