THE restoration a boutique office building at 175 Flinders Lane in Melbourne’s CBD has paid off, with the property hanging up the no vacancy sign.
Fitzroys leasing agents Stephen Land and Tom Backay negotiated the deal for the entire level 3 of the building to consulting engineering practice BESTEC at $78,000 p.a. plus GST over five years.
The latest deal means the building is now fully occupied.
Land said BESTEC specialised in building engineering services in South Australia and were making a transition to their new Melbourne office from services offices in Docklands.
“The tired existing fitout was completely stripped, resulting in an open-plan shell. This exposed the concrete floors which were then polished to a sleek matte finish. This style of office space is now consistent with recent transformations on levels 2 and 4 of the building,” Backay said.
“Design, architectural and media tenants have made up the majority of enquiries for refurbished character properties on Flinders Lane.
“This has been evidenced by the recent leasings by Fitzroys at 313 Flinders Lane and 333 Flinders Lane, which have similar features,” he concluded.
