THREE key hospitality tenants have been secured for the ground floor of HCAP Developments’ Haven project in Brisbane’s inner-northern suburb of Newstead.
The 25-storey luxury apartment tower is located in the Gasworks precinct and is currently under construction, and will comprise 220 two, three and four-bedroom residences, with the 1,100sqm retail and hospitality offering overseen by RL57 in conjunction with Anna Dunworth or CBRE and Greer Gittoes of Chesters Real Estate.
The first tenants to sign are Betty’s Burgers & Concrete Co, Salt Meats Cheese and Jocelyn’s Provisions, with the retail space to ultimately feature a mix of premium food and beverage, retail services and showroom tenancies.
Betty’s Burgers signed an eight-year leased over 150sqm for its first Brisbane store, having recently made its first expansion outside its maiden Queensland sites at Noosa and the Gold Coast in Melbourne’s CBD.
Salts Meats Cheese will also be making its Brisbane debut, originally opening in Sydney’s Alexandria before opening four more restaurants in the city and another in Surfers Paradise.
The gourmet Italian restaurant has leased 170sqm on a nine-year deal.
The third of the deals was signed by cakes, pastries and breads outlet Jocelyn’s Provisions, over 60sqm on a five-year term. Established in nearby Fortitude Valley, it will operate from the Haven site under Newstead Provisions.
Haven is located on the corner of Skyring Terrace, Reddacliffe Street and Cunningham Street, directly opposite the historic Gasometer.
