OFFERED for the first time in more than 80 years, a former Foodworks supermarket site in Melbourne’s Murrumbeena has sold under the hammer for $3.8 million.
The 796 sqm corner site at 430-434 Neerim Road is zoned Commercial 1 and has three street frontages with a combined 78 metres of exposure.
Jeremy Gruzewski and Fred Nucara of Beller Commercial sold the property, which attracted four bidders at auction.
It currently has a part two-level building and was marketed with vacant possession and redevelopment potential of up to six levels, according to a feasibility study, as well as potential to be divided into multiple retail or commercial tenancies. The site is located metres from Murrumbeena train station and close to Dandenong Road.
