Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec has rebranded itself La Caisse.
The new name means that the pension fund will phase out use of the name Ivanhoé Cambridge, through which it has previously conducted its global real estate business. The Ivanhoé brand will be gradually discontinued.
According to La Caisse, the updated branding is meant to sharpen its real estate business’ identity, drawing on the institution’s longstanding roots and international profile.
Ongoing relationships with tenants, partners and clients will remain unchanged, the pension said, with La Caisse reaffirming its commitment to being a top-tier real estate investor.
As of yearend 2024, La Caisse’s real estate holdings stood at $42bn ($75bn gross) out of a total investment portfolio valued at $473bn.
Via joint ventures and other alliances, La Caisse maintains ownership interests in over 1,500 properties across logistics, residential, office and retail sectors worldwide.
