CBUS Property has settled 96 residences at the second component of its Newmarket Randwick master-planned project in Sydney’s eastern suburbs.
The result at stage 1A of the boutique project, known as Figtree Pocket, follows settlement of 120 residences at the completion of the project’s first component of stage one, Newmarket Residences.
Designed by national architecture firm Smart Design Studio, with landscaping by Arcadia Landscape Architecture, Figtree Pocket comprises 165 one, two and three-bedroom apartments across four buildings.
Cbus Property acquired the five hectare Inglis Newmarket stables site in 2015 for $260 million from William Inglis and Son, after the NSW Planning and Environment Department approved rezoning to residential use.
Residents have access to The Deck, a landscaped communal space for outdoor entertaining underneath a 100-year-old namesake fig tree.
Inglis Park and its playground and Newmarket Dining, a retail and dining space that opened in line with the first component of the project, are a short stroll away. The project is also within walking distance of Coogee Beach, St Pauls St, the new light rail, and Royal Randwick shopping centre.
Cbus Property’s chief executive officer, Adrian Pozzo said the outcome demonstrated purchasers’ ongoing confidence in high-end residential product developed by respected developers.
“To settle the second component of Stage 1 of a multi-million-dollar mixed-use masterplan with so few rescissions, is a true testament to the quality of Newmarket Randwick and the purchasers’ faith in the Cbus Property brand and product being delivered,” he said.
Colliers is marketing the project.
