MELBOURNE’S public transport operator, Metro has expanded its footprint at 700 Collins St, owned by Cromwell Property Group.
Colliers International’s Edward Knowles and Tony Landrigan negotiated the deal that will see Metro occupy a further 2,500 sqm on Level 14 in addition to an existing 7,500 sqm on Levels 15-17. The initial 7,500 sqm was secured on a 10-year lease facilitated in 2015 by Knowles.
“This new lease will see Metro occupy around 10,000 sqm in total at 700 Collins on two aligned, long term leases,” Knowles said.
Meanwhile Colliers is fielding strong interest for the remaining space.
“We have shortlisted five major occupiers, each of whom is looking at between 2,500-5,000 sqm of space over one or two floors. We expect to lease these floors up very quickly.” Knowles said.
