A LOCAL developer has acquired a 10,117 sqm parcel of land in Brisbane’s south-east growth suburb of Rochedale for $5.2 million.
JLL’s Sam Byrne handled the 345 Miles Platting Road sale on behalf of a local private investor. The expressions of interest campaign drew 10 bids.
Zoned Emerging Community, the property allows for a potential building height of six storeys, and is close to the Rochedale Town Centre site that will see a 3,500 sqm Coles supermarket completed later this year.
Byrne the said the purchaser secured the property on cash unconditional terms, “illustrating the heightened demand for land holdings in Rochedale”.
Early this year, a family sold off a 4,069-hectare Rochedale development site after 27 years of ownership for $10.8 million, to residential aged care and retirement living operator TriCare, in a deal also negotiated by Byrne.
