SYDNEY agency X Commercial has opened its first full franchise office in Melbourne, via a partnership with western Melbourne industrial agency Industry Property Group (IPG).
X Commercial has offices in South Sydney, Lower North Shore, Inner West, City Fringe, South-West Sydney and currently manages 1,900 properties ranging from office buildings, industrial, retail and several large shopping centres with combined assets under management of $3.5 billion in value.
It has now linked with IPG, founded by Andrew Macqueen and his business partners Stuart Macqueen and Cameron Hunter 12 years ago.
Andrew Macqueen started IPG after a 10-year career as a high fee earners in a global firm. He said, “It is a pleasure to join Daniel O’Brien and X Commercial by re-branding our successful Industry Property Group. It is our aim to assist the growth of this franchise network across Victoria initially and then nationally.
“Since meeting Daniel, it was clear we both share similar values and operate very well together. We both have loyal and long-standing clients, worked at major global firms and then wanted to evolve and build something for ourselves.”
X Commercial’s CEO, Daniel O’Brien, said “The chance to partner with such a well-respected industry professional, who has similar goals and ambitions is incredible and a real validation of what we are building here.
“To welcome such a well-established and hugely successful partner fits perfectly with our strategic growth plans to have offices in Victoria, NSW and eventually Queensland”.
He said that as owners of the master franchise for their home state, “our intention is to franchise this brand further”.
The X Commercial group of companies offers finance and valuations services in-house.
