SPANISH fashion retailer Zara will open its third store in Australia by signing up as the anchor tenant for the new stage 3 development of Burnside Village in Adelaide.
Zara will occupy 2,300 sqm of space over two storeys and will other fashion retailers at Burnside Village namely sass & bide, Karen Millen, Seed, FCUK, Mimco, Saba, and Pandora.
Burnside Village is owned by the Cohen Group which will unveil the centre’s new $100 million extension later this year, adding 7,300 sqm of space taking the total number of shops to 120 over 20,000 sqm, as well as increasing car parking bays to 1,156.
Cohen Group retail general manager Lyn Gray said the centre will offer Adelaide shoppers with second to none fashion brands.
Colliers retail leasing director Ben Laycock said since launching the leasing campaign in 2008, they have been swamped with retailers’ enquiries.
“We are now 100% leased,” he concluded.
