Pomerleau Capital and Global Education Communities Corp. (GECC) have inked an agreement to develop a $135m student housing project in Vancouver.
The deal is part of GECC’s $800m development pipeline focused on building student housing properties across Metro Vancouver.
Under the agreement, Montreal-based Pomerleau Capital will provide investment and help co-develop the project.
The partnership also sees Pomerleau’s construction arm, Pomerleau Inc and its subsidiary ITC Construction Group lend their expertise to GECC’s projects.
Avison Young brokered the deal.
GECC’s subsidiary Global Education City owns a portfolio of nine projects and 14 buildings in operation or under development in Metro Vancouver. The properties are operated under the GEC Living brand.
