Rich joins the firm from Herbert Smith Freehills and will be based in Brisbane. He joins a team of 40-plus real estate legal professionals in Brisbane, including partners Cameron Charlton and Robin Lyons.
Minter Ellison`s head of the Brisbane real estate practice, partner Robin Lyons, said Rich would add additional senior bench strength to the team in Brisbane.
“Adrian has an enviable track record of acquisition and disposal of real estate assets in the commercial, industrial, retail and resources sectors. His impressive ability to get the deal done and his broad experience across industry sectors will enhance our service offering for commercial clients,” Lyons said.
Lyons said the firm has advised on key deals including AMP`s sale of Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre and acquisition of 50% of Stockland`s Townsville shopping centre – the two largest retail property transactions in Queensland in 2014.
Other transactions include Lend Lease Primelife`s acquisition of seven retirement villages in SE Queensland, and ongoing mandates in the redevelopment of the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds and as key advisers to Springfield Land Corporation on its Greater Springfield master-planned community.
