THE Property Council has announced that long-serving Western Australia executive director Joe Lenzo will retire on 31 March next year.
Property Council chief executive Ken Morrison said Lenzo had done a superb job over more than 15 years.
“Joe has been true leader of the industry who has wielded very significant political influence. It will be sad to see him go,” Morrison said. “His announcement provides us with plenty of time to recruit for a successor, a process which starts immediately.”
Property Council WA president Chris Palandri said Lenzo leaves a proud legacy for his successor to inherit.
Lenzo paid tribute to WA’s property industry.
“This industry has made such a positive and remarkable contribution to the state’s built environment and in recent years has delivered the projects that have transformed Perth into one of the most vibrant and liveable cities in the world,” Lenzo said. “It has been a privilege working with so many talented and passionate West Australians in both the private and public arena.”
