RETAILER Supercheap Auto has leased a showroom facility at Dandenong in Melbourne’s south-east.
The 55-67 Frankston/Dandenong Rd property, comprises a 1,061 sqm building within Dandenong’s Home Quarter centre which also includes national retailers The Good Guys, Amart Sports and Officeworks.
The deal was brokered by Savills’ Keith Kooloos in conjunction with CBRE’s Chris Parry, securing the tenant on a 10-year term.
The rental was not disclosed but it is believed to be in the high $100s per sqm net.
Kooloos said Super Cheap Auto had required a property which offered room to accommodate significant recent and anticipated business growth with excellent main street exposure.
Parry said that the result sees a strong finish to the Dandenong Home Quarter Centre which is dominated by national retailers. With competing vacancy on the Frankston Dandenong Road strip, it highlights that quality retailers are looking for quality retail spaces to showcase their brand.
The 12,000 sqm Home Quarter bulky goods centre was developed on the former Kimberly Clark factory site by Fantastic Property Holdings in 2012.
