ASIA-Pacific logistics specialist, Logos is nearing completion of its $250 million Hazelmere Logistics Estate near Perth Airport, after striking a leasing deal with Ingham’s for a brand new 10,000 sqm facility and also kicking off speculative construction of a 19,000 sqm warehouse next door.
The new facility for ASX-listed poultry producer Ingham’s will comprise a temperature-controlled distribution warehouse that will be used to serve Ingham’s various stock, featuring freezer and chiller rooms, multipurpose rooms, and weight label rooms, and more, allowing for distribution within Western Australia, nationally, and internationally.
The 9,845 sqm facility covers a site area of 24,700 sqm and is targeting a 5 Star Green Star Rating, with key sustainability initiatives including a 500kw solar system, 455kL rainwater tank, and a minimum of 80% of construction waste to be re-used or recycled.
CIP is the head contractor for the development, while TMX managed the procurement process for Ingham’s.
“Ingham’s is excited to be working with Logos, CIP Constructions and TMX to design and develop this facility,” said Ingham’s COO, Anne Marie Mooney.
Ingham’s will join DHL, Primary Connect (Woolworths Limited), Fisher & Paykel and McPhee Distribution within Hazelmere Logistics Estate. The 20 hectare estate, which Logos picked up in 2015, will be fully built out on completion in August of a speculatively-built 19,000 sqm facility that will offer spaces from 6,300 sqm. The completed estate will offer 96,000 sqm of prime-grade logistics space.
“We are proud of the progress of the Hazelmere Logistics Estate and the delivery of a premium facility to service our customers in Western Australia. We look forward to working with our key partners and are pleased to be extending our relationship with Ingham’s at this Estate,” Logos’ head of Australia and New Zealand, Darren Searle, said.
