A Woollahra home with a DA approval in place for a Luigi Rosselli-designed renovation has sold ahead of auction for around $16.5 million.
The Arts & Crafts-style six-bedroom four-bathroom home at 18 Wallaroy Road is located on an elevated 910sqm block and sold after three weeks on the market.
The home boasts a gas-heated mosaic swimming pool, an automated triple garage with additional storage space and Art Deco motifs spread throughout the two-storey residence.
Alex Lyons and Hannan Bouskila from Raine & Horne Double Bay managed the campaign, with an auction previously scheduled for 26 March and a price guide between $16 million and $17 million.
The vendors, Forbes Chambers barrister and legal academic Stephen Odgers SC and Saraswati Sundrum, purchased the home in 2005 for an undisclosed price.
With the house previously selling for $2.275 million in 1997 via private treaty.
The approved designs by Luigi Rosselli also offer further luxury right across the home, with the designs featuring new custom staircases and a lift.
The median house price for Woollahra is currently at $4.6 million, having dropped by 8.9% over the past 12 months, according to PropTrack.
