A LOCAL buyer has paid $15.5 million for the Heckelmann’s Building at 171 Elizabeth St in Brisbane’s CBD.
Another private investor also acquired Tara House at 179 Elizabeth St for $8.1 million late last year.
Knight Frank’s Justin Bond and Tom O’Driscoll managed both deals and said the transactions highlight the appeal of these types of investments in the Brisbane CBD.
The Heckelmann’s Building was constructed as a warehouse in 1884 and it is currently a four-storey retail and office building. The property comprises a lower ground level and three upper levels, with a total net lettable area of 2,310 sqm.
