ICON Developments has approval for a $80 million mixed-use project in Melbourne’s city fringe suburb of Richmond.
Located at 2 Brighton St, named The Richmond, the Rob Kennon Architects designed 10 storeys building will comprise 78 apartments and a ground-floor retail tenancy, set on a 1,300 sqm site.
Icon Developments senior development manager Georgina Goldsworthy said the Richmond will offer considered and honest design in a tightly held pocket.
“The project is positioned perfectly to capture the best Richmond has to offer being a stone’s throw to both Swan and Church streets and on the cusp of Cremorne. We are excited to be granted the opportunity to add something special to this popular and vibrant area.
“We are looking forward to bringing this design-led building with an exceptional team behind it to Richmond soon,” she added.
Construction is set to commence early 2021.
