MAB Corporation is selling strata office space within its $40 million Yarraberg Workspaces project in the popular Melbourne city fringe suburb of Richmond.
Yarraberg Workspaces includes five floors of office space plus ground level retail, secure basement parking and a rooftop terrace with panoramic views of the Yarra river and Melbourne city skyline.
The Blazey St project has been designed by Plus Architecture with landscaping by Tract Consultants. MAB will start construction later this year with completion expected in 2021.
MAB has appointed Colliers agents Ted Dwyer, Chris Ling and Jordan Lipton, in conjunction with Knight Frank’s Tim Grant and Matthew Romanin, to market the project.
“The city fringe of Melbourne, in particular Richmond, has been starved of supply for new, high quality strata office,” Dwyer said. “Quite simply, the ability for a private business to own their own office, or for an investor to acquire offices at a lower quantum has not been available.”
MAB general manager commercial, Mike Martin, said this is a unique opportunity to provide premium and innovative strata office product in a pocket of Richmond undergoing rapid transformation.
The location’s settlement history dates back to the early 1850s when the town of Yarraberg was considered a separate suburb of Richmond, and the precinct was home to brickworks, quarries and tanneries.
Yarraberg Workspaces will incorporate sustainability features across the building and end-of-trip facilities. The Main Yarra Trail bike and running trail, trams connecting to Melbourne’s CBD and eastern suburbs, and Richmond and Burnley train stations are close by.
