A DEVELOPMENT opportunity for up to 200 residential and tourism dwellings has entered the market at a Gold Coast Hinterland site, in the Scenic Rim region’s Beechmont.
Sitting across from the 21,176-hectare World Heritage-listed Lamington National Park, the 618 Binna Burra Road land parcel spans 89-hectares with around 76-hectares of rainforest and sits around 93km from the Brisbane CBD.
CBRE Gold Coast’s managing director Mark Witheriff and associate director Daniel Doran have been appointed to managed the sale of the property via an expressions of interest campaign.
While AJ Mac Strategic Solution’s Alex McMahon as the vendor’s transaction advisor.
“This is a true once-in-a-generation development opportunity, providing an opportunity to secure an approved development site that will likely never be available again,” said Witheriff.
With 12-hectares of partially cleared land, approved for development, the land parcel sits amongst a large lot residential house and features three separate access points from Binna Burra Road, Timbarra Drive and Akoonah Drive.
Potential developers will also benefit from approvals in place for tourism-based activity in the remaining 76-hectares of rainforest on the renowned Binna Burra plateau.
In addition to the site’s placement by the neighbouring Lamington National Park, which offers walking tracks that enable visitors to explore the McPherson Range’s forests, creeks and waterfalls.
The Scenic Rim of the area was recently listed amongst Lonely Planet’s Top 10 regions to visit in 2022, while not far from the site the Binna Burra Lodge was named as a leader in Queensland’s nature-based tourism.
Queensland’s tourism market has recently seen the NRMA Agnes Water Holiday Park in the Gladstone region up for grabs, off the back of rising demand for leisure assets in the state.
The expressions of interest campaign for 618 Binna Burra Road is scheduled to close on 7 April, 2022.
