THE hospitality team behind Sweetwater Inn, Leonard’s House of Love and Ramblr have leased an historic Carlton corner site for their new venture, Leonardo’s Pizza Palace.
Teska Carson’s Jack Kelliher and Adrian Boutsakis negotiated the eight-term with two four-year options for 29 Grattan Street, on the corner of Drummond Street, at $160,000 per annum net plus GST on behalf of a Melbourne-based investor.
Kelliher said the building was ideally suited for the purpose, formerly home to Da Salvatore Pizza by the Metre.
He said the operators had sought a building with the character synonymous with their brand in a prime food and beverage location.
The property is positioned metres from Lygon Street, offering high exposure to one of Melbourne’s most popular café and restaurant precincts.
Kelliher said a multitude of experienced hospitality groups registered their interest in the property.
