CONSTRUCTION companies Probuild and Contexx have made a pact.
Under the strategic alliance Probuild, which is financially backed by the major South African Contractor WBHO, will acquire a 50% share in Contexx.
Contexx is a Melbourne-based firm specialising in large scale commercial and residential projects, was established four years ago by Noel Henderson and Simon Gray, who were both formerly of Multiplex.
When combined, the Probuild Group’s annual turnover will exceed $750 million, with more than 425 employees.
The companies will retain separate brands but will collaborate on major projects. Probuild directors Phil Mehrten and Ted Yencken will join the Contexx board as non-executive directors.
