SALTA Properties has commenced construction of more than 22,000 sqm and $5 million worth of upgrades and services as part of the next stage for its Nexus business park in Melbourne’s Mulgrave.
It has also acquired an adjoining 2,957 sqm property has part of its expansion plans.
Valued at more than $1 billion, Nexus will have in excess of 120,000 sqm of lettable space on completion.
Salta Properties managing director, Sam Tarascio said a new 24/7 health and wellbeing club is being built on the ground floor of 1 Nexus, that includes allied health services like yoga, meditation and pilates, and a 1.4-kilometre circuit running track around the estate and outdoor gym will also be installed as well as upgrades to end of trip facilities.
The group has also invested in Equiem, which will be available to all people working at Nexus and allow them communicate directly with the landlord and report issues. The platform will be also be used to coordinate activities throughout the estate.
Construction of new buildings at Nexus will provide an additional 15,000sqm of lettable space within the next two years, available in 2020 and 2021.
Salta Properties has just bought the adjoining property at 1-3 Geddes St. The site currently has a freestanding tenanted building occupied by Visit Group Pty Ltd on a long-term lease.
Selling agent, Gavin Dumas of Crabtrees said negotiations between the purchaser and the vendor had resulted in an agreement that contributes positively to the amenities available for existing tenants, as well as enabling further growth of Nexus.
