Homes selling fast at auctions

RESIDENTIAL property auction sales have continued to increase in Melbourne and Sydney.

According to Australian Property Monitors Home Price Guide, Sydney reported 260 auctions and 143 sales, resulting in a clearance rate of 59.8%.

 

The total value of properties sold was $103.3 million with a five bedroom house in Woolooware fetching the highest price of $4.95 million for the week.

 

And no surprises there, Melbourne’s strong market performance shows no signs of abating.

 

There were 579 property auctions and 407 sales, resulting in a clearance rate of 78.1%. The total value of properties sold was $186.9 million.

 

A three bedroom house in Toorak was the most expensive property sold, fetching $3.03 million.

 

Adelaide’s market eased back last Saturday with 23 auctions and 17 sales.

 

The total value of properties sold was $7.2 million.

 

Brisbane was going steady with 42 properties going under the hammer and 18 sales totalling $5.6 million in value.
