EWE Global Express has leased a 14,418 sqm warehouse at 457 Waterloo Rd in Sydney’s western suburbs from Centuria Industrial REIT.
The lease was handled by Savills’ Ray Trimboli.
“This deal marks the largest lease in Chullora for existing buildings year to date, with EWE Global Express committing to the warehouse after an extensive search for expansion space for their current Chullora operations,” Trimboli said.
He said the tenant was attracted to the property’s central location, in close proximity to the M4 and M5 motorways.
The property had caused the trust some grief last year with the unexpected default of then-tenant Elite Logisitics.
The trust recently confirmed two major lease renewals over nearly 40,000 sqm at sites through Sydney’s west, including to K&S Freighters at Enfield, and to Visy at 10 Williamson Road in the south-western fringe suburb of Ingleburn.
