THE Cera Stribley design for Samuel Property’s multi-residential project has been unveiled, tying in elements of the surrounding art deco history of St Kilda Road with contemporary sensibilities.
Located on the north-west corner of Louse Street and Queens Lane, Louise, will be built with red brick, white terrazzo exterior with greenery scaling the façade, paying homage to the adjoining heritage properties and broader 1920s design of the Melbourne city fringe area.
“Every aspect of Louise has been designed to epitomise quality of life. When it comes to apartment living, there are few buildings that offer such an incredible location as Louise,” said Domenic Cerantonio, managing principal from Cera Stribley.
The red brick façade will comprise the lower levels, with eaves above fanning out, inspired by a yacht hull and the nearby Albert Park Sailing Club.
With interiors in “fresh sunrise” or “warm sunset” themes, instead of the more typical both light and dark palette offerings.
“From sunrise to sunset, there is so much to love about the area; parks, beach, city – the lifestyle here has it all. The interior design of Louise is very much inspired by this unparalleled locale, and the Art Deco glamour of the heritage architecture found around the area,” added Cerantonio.
Amenities at the project will include a pool, steam room, entertainers lounge, dining room and communal terrace.
Fewer than 100 apartments will be on offer at Louise, with the residences available in one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom floorplans.
“Together with Cera Stribley, we have worked tirelessly to consider the way a likely ‘Louise’ resident may live and use the spaces within the development, which has been a streamlined task as Cera Stribley has worked across both the architecture and interiors,” concluded Illan Samuel, managing director at Samuel Property.
Apartments at Louise are scheduled to launch to the market in late-July, 2022.
