DEXUS has secured Monash University, Mason Seir Tunrbull Lawyers and Suncorp Group as new tenants for its Axxess Corporate Park in Mount Waverley after 12 months refurbishing the properties.
Monash signed a 4,800sqm lease at 321 Ferntree Gully Road; MST 1,800sqm at 315 Ferntree Gully Road and Suncorp Group 1,100sqm of office space and a 3,000 warehouse at 47 Gilby Road.
Leasing agents Travis Myerscough, Rob Joyes, Ash Dean and Kevin Tutty from Colliers International said the three leases were struck on mid-term tenures.
Myerscough said there was a need to provide modern, functional facilities that matched the appeal of the well-serviced estate.
“The high-quality amenity for staff includes cafes, a childcare centre, gymnasium, badminton courts, on-site mechanic, BBQ areas and several other services aimed at supporting the occupiers’ wellbeing.”
Dexus has recently completed the construction of two more fullyfitted and furnished suites at 307 Ferntree Gully Road, Mount Waverley.
Myerscough said the upgrades are part of Dexus’ portfolio-wide suite strategy, where space is subdivided and speculatively fitted out to attract smaller space users.
“Following the success of subdividing whole floors in its high-rise buildings in the city, Dexus sought to implement the approach in its suburban properties.”
Dexus has leased a 550sqm tenancy at 307 Ferntree Gully Road to toy manufacturer Funtastic, which will relocate from Chadstone Shopping Centre. A 580sqm suite is still available.
